CALLING ALL CREATIVE KIDS AND TEENS!
We’re looking for vibrant, original artwork that celebrates the magic of books and libraries! Submit your designs for a chance to see your work professionally printed and showcased across all 12 of our library locations.
Contest information:
- Children ages 5-18 are eligible.
- Must reside in Beaver County.
- One entry per student.
How to Enter:
- Visit your local library to pick up an entry form or
- Download and print the form below.
- Return your completed submission to any library location or mail to:

Next steps: The Best of the Bookmarks!
- Finalists: Each participating library will select one finalist in each age category by July 18.
- Judging: A panel of judges will review all finalist entries and select four grand prize winners.
- Winners Announcement: The four winning designs will be contacted by August 8th.
- Publishing: Winning designs will be professionally printed and distributed in all library system locations with their designs represented at our big event, LIBRARYCON'26: The Ultimate Side Quest! Learn more here.
- County Reception: Grand prize winners will receive a special invitation to attend a Beaver County Council Meeting for celebration and recognition from our commissioners.
Need some inspiration? Take a look at the designs from the previous year and review the judging criteria:
Judges will factor in the age of participants during the evaluation process
- Composition- Is the piece arranged in a balanced use of space? Are things spelled correctly and created thoughtfully?
- Meaning – Is the artists’ vision easily understood? Did they reflect a love of reading and/or libraries?
- Originality- Does the piece have original images and/or slogans. Did the artist bring a unique perspective or a new approach to the subject matter?
