This program sponsored by the Aliquippa Library District and the Environmental Mitigation Community Fund, through the Pittsburgh Foundation.

Provides counseling and support to library users, help them navigate various health and wellness resources, and assist them in their journey towards mental health recovery. In addition to these services, Michael will also provide several direct supports: Crisis Intervention, which involves providing immediate support during a crisis to help individuals regain equilibrium; Case Management, which involves coordinating services and resources to assist individuals or families; Life Skills Training, which involves helping individuals develop essential skills such as budgeting, job searching, and time management; Advocacy, which involves representing and advocating for library user’s rights and needs at individual, group, and community levels; and psychoeducation, which involves educating individuals and families about mental health conditions and strategies for managing them. Our social worker program will also focus on Community Outreach to help the library district build better engagement with our communities and raise awareness of available services and resources.

Geared towards readers in Pre-K to 5^th grade to practice reading aloud to a certified Therapy Dog in a relaxed and non-judgmental environment.

The Rules

• Creations can be made out of gingerbread, graham crackers or cardboard. The rest of the materials are up to you! Be as creative and festive as you can!
• Literary designs are encouraged but not required.
• Designs must be no larger than 18 inches long by 18 inches wides.

Show off your building skills! Caregivers must be present. FOR ALL AGES!  No registration required.

Bring along something special to you that you would like to share with us. An event for ALL AGES! We will spend time hearing about everyone's favorite items and make a craft.  No registration required.

Carnegie Free Library of Beaver Falls has Jessi, our volunteer social worker, on Wednesdays from 12-2 pm! Come with all your questions. Jessi specializes in Social Security, Medicare, government forms, and resume writing. If you need help, Jessi is on it! This is a new, innovative social work/library collaboration.

Remember, library users (as in you!), are a big part of the success with our social worker.  Bring your questions, demonstrate need for a social worker in the library and that will keep Jessi coming back!
